Tonight the premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was off without a hitch with many of the main cast and a slew of Hollywoods elite on the red carpet. After a few hours of anticipation waiting for the army of special guests and reviewers who viewed the film, to grab their confiscated phones and begin Tweeting out their first reactions. In short, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is a solid hit. Many of the reviewers who we trust and respect came out swinging with remarks that will not only raise the hope of the public but build on this buzz that I feel will grow organically for regular movie goers. This movie will get regular movie patrons into the seats again and again and prove that the spin-offs will work for this franchise.
Since early last year on the MakingStarWars.net – Now This Is Podcasting Podcast, I have re-iterated time and again that this film would be a sleeper hit amongst the other Star Wars titles. The pitch by John Knoll was solid, and the dedication by Lucasfilm and Garth Edwards to make this film great was always there in plain site for those willing to look. The movie also retained the dark nature of war that many said would be changed during the reshoots. With the vast majority of the remarks hitting Twitter, there can be no doubt that the consensus conveys that this is an outstanding movie. As I dance these digits across the keyboard, I am truly overjoyed that Gareth Edward’s Rogue One, exemplifies the talent and vision of Lucasfilm and all the people responsible for this production.

… @m_giacchino score is a great mix of unique adaptation of Williams Star Wars score and the emotional strings we love from his work.
