UPDATE!

Looks like the official release announcement came sooner than we thought. Lego has released a new video showcasing their new title that will debut on June 28th. Enjoy the video!

Once again, Amazon Italy leaks out an important item for us Star Wars fans. This time its about the new Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens video game from Warner Brothers.  The reveal source is nintendoeverything.com and they got this from the post on Amazon Italy’s listing.

LEGO Star Wars: Episode 7 is in development, a leak from Amazon Italy reveals. The game is listed for several platforms – including Wii U and 3DS – with a tentative May 31 release date. It may feature the final title something along the lines of “LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.

Amazon’s listing indicates that the game will take players through the story of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with LEGO’s signature humor. New content bridging the gap between Episode VI Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens will also be included. A (very) rough translation mentions something about multi-buildings/construction and battles with the blaster.

“The best-selling LEGO video game franchise makes its triumphant return with an action-packed and humor journey based on the blockbuster movie. The game will also feature exclusive playable content that bridge the gap between the story of Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Play as Rey, Finn, Poe, BB-8, Kylo Ren, Han Solo and many others in LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens! LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens introduces Multi-constructions and battles with Blaster universe of LEGO videogames. With Multi-buildings, use LEGO bricks available to open new paths, and then break them ricostruiscili to open others! During the battles with Blaster, use the environment as protection to address the First Order.”

The interesting part of this reveal is the additional content between Jedi and The Force Awakens. I really enjoy the Lego games and I am sure this one will be a winner too.
