It’s 12:20 and do you know where your Fandango is? Because it’s sure as shit isn’t up and selling tickets. The curtain has been lifted and the chorus has begun with the sale of tickets for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. One of the primary ticket sales sites, Fandango went down almost immediately, and many other locations saw long stretches of time before tickets could be secured. The more privately owned your theater is the better chances of an individual securing a seat. Right now as I am typing this post, countless friends, colleagues and strangers are complaining, laughing with glee all covered in excitement.
This fervor also a great sign of interest for the first spin-off film for the franchise. With this mad rush for tickets, we also were treated to a new tv spot which may show Grand Moff Tarkin himself. We have written about the possibility of Grand Moff Tarkin in Rogue One for some time, and it would be quite a story. Of course, it makes sense for the Grand Moff to be in this film the questions remains however in what way? Would the vile, evil, maniacal strong arm of the Empire be shown from behind or just off angle? Or perhaps straight on camera with a CG likeness of Peter Cushing, voiced by Stephen Stanton from Star Wars Rebels ?
Time will tell, and with only a few short weeks we will know. Good luck with the tickets everyone and may the Force be with you.
